How to read it
It reads, it does not run
There's no path from the app to the machine. The system runs itself and the app watches. A stolen phone can't change how your home is heated.
A number on the screen is a measurement
A channel with nothing plugged into it says so, and a part that did not answer says that instead. An old reading fades rather than passing itself off as a current one, so you are never looking at yesterday and thinking it is now.
It can tell a quiet system from a broken one
Losing contact with a machine is not the same as the machine failing. The app separates the two, because only one of them needs somebody to go and look.
These are real screens from the app, shown with example data for a home like yours. The system is still in prototype, so we have not photographed a customer installation yet.
